I have included a few photos that Nathan took while at the 9/12 Rally in Washington DC this last September. He felt it was one of the most important things he has ever done. Become a part of history. Participate in the process. Do not sit idly by and then wonder what happened!
Here are our Letters to our Reprsentatives
I am writing you today as a voter and constituent of the State of California and a citizen of the United States of America. This country is sitting today at a crossroads. The decisions that you as our representative are making as my and all people of the State of California’s representative are of grave concern to me, my children, my grandchildren and those to come in the future.
This country was founded on basic freedoms. Freedoms’ that you as our Senator are sworn to uphold. The current debate on Health Care in this nation and the Health Care Bill that is currently in debate goes against everything that this country was founded upon and goes against the current will of the people.
No one currently in this country is denied necessary healthcare whether or not they can pay for it. If you feel it so necessary to work on the system, why not fix the systems already in place? Medicaid and Medicare are both in shambles. Why should I or anyone else for that matter believe that this or any government run plan can run efficiently?
Senator, I am a quiet homemaker, mother and grandmother. I have been a quiet content voter who has up until recently felt that the system worked and our representatives were honorable, honest, hardworking individuals. I believed they were committed to the welfare of the people they were entrusted to represent. Unfortunately as of now my feelings have been violated as I have watched this current debate.
I plan on making my position known to any and all I come in contact with. If this Health Care Bill passes I will make my voice heard. I will use my efforts to volunteer and ambitiously campaign for those committed to uphold the rights of the people and against those who have denied the rights of the people in favor of their own personal agenda.
I am urging you and all of my Representatives in this country to not pass this Health Care Bill. I urge you to remember whom you represent. What you are sworn to do. Please uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
Sincerely,
Debra A. Nemrow
Dear Senator Feinstein,
I am a hardworking man with a family and typically do not have time to write letters to my Senators and Congressman. However, I feel that the health care debate that is going on right now in congress is of such great importance that I have to let my voice be known.
Simply put this "Great Free Country of America" was and is founded upon personal freedoms. Healthcare is not part of the "Bill of Rights" setup by the founders of this great nation. Heath care is available to all people who live in America and no person is denied healthcare when they need it even if they do not have a way to pay for it. This country was not founded upon entitlements, but entitlements are going to be what destroys this country. We cannot let the greatest health care system in the world be taken over by bureaucrats because that will certainly increase the cost of healthcare over time and the quality of heathcare will definitely go down. Please stop government from trying to take over one sixth of the U.S. economy. Government will destroy health care and I do want my children and grand children burdened with the debt that will be created by this huge government entitlement program. I will do everything in my power to stop this bill from passing and if it does I will make sure that those responsible will know how I feel when I place my ballot at the voting booth.
Please listen to the people!!
