3rd Annual Utah Family Get Away!

The first week of February has been an annual Cabin Vacation with all of our children and grandchildren.  This year was the third year in a row that we have been able to have this fabulous fun with each and everyone of us spending quality time together.  I have to admit it is one of my very favorite things we do all year and something I really look forward to.

As the economy has continued to be very difficult it has been a great challenge to our family also.  Business has been not so great and it was for the first time in many , many years that doing something like this was a great sacrifice for all involved.  We are doing our best to keep the family business going in more than difficult circumstances.  We pray daily and hope that what the Lord has in store for us will keep us going.

Needless to say this was a great time for all and we are more than grateful for the Family time for sharing and loving one another.  We are so grateful to Ashlee and Jake for getting us this fabulous cabin each year.  It belongs to Jake's best friend and his family.  Thanks Ashlee and Jake!!!!!

For part of Christmas this year I made all the Grandkids fun colored hats for the trip!  I tried to get them done for the adults too but it did not happen.  I'll keep trying! Here are some pic's of the grandkids in their hats! Garrett and Bristol seem to somehow have missed the photo shoot!

While our children went out to play in the snow for the afternoon on snowmobiles and tubes and sleds. GiGi (Me) and Grandpa (Nathan) and I watched all seven grandkids! It was party time and GiGi had a fun Valentines Celebration planned. While Garrett and Spencer napped the Girls had Girl time and Grandpa kept baby Bristol occupied. You can see we had a great time! Pedicures, storytime, Valentine making,

"Fancy Nancy" of Course!

And a Special Valentines Cake!

We played many games of Yahtzee!

Some Winners!

Some Loosers!

Dance time

and Food!!!!
Corn Dogs made a photo opp too!

There was a JAZZ Game, Sledding, Extreme Tubing, Cars Stuck in the snow, Night Snowmobiling, Jacuzzi time and much much more!
Needless to say it was some much needed R&R for all of us!

I look forward to many more Family Adventures!

Our Youngest Grandchild Turns 1

Grand baby Bristol had her first birthday on January 12th.  Katie and Travis, the proud parents had a great party for her and we all enjoyed a wonderful time.  While they were in Utah this last week Aunt Ashlee, a fabulous photographer took these adorable pictures for her 1 year old photo shoot!  She is quite the model! And Ashlee quite the artist photographer!

Catching up on the Years End!

Well the year has come to an end and another has begun.  As I have been a bit behind on my posting as the year went on I will try to catch up a bit!  Thanksgiving was great and we had so much fun having Ashlee and her family out for the festivities.  We spent some time at the beach, ate good food, visited with family and saw a fun play with all the girls, "Mary Poppins".  We missed Travis, Katie and Bristol as they went to New York with Katie's family for the holiday.

The first weekend in December I went out to Las Vegas and met with my sisters Karen and Laura.  We had some fun time shopping but the reason we went out was to sing together for the first time in over 15 years!!! Karen asked Laura and I to come and sing for her Relief Society Christmas lesson.  We had practice on Friday and Saturday and then sang on Sunday.  It was fun to get together and we were suprised at how quickly we were able to blend and sing together again!  Thanks Karen for making us do it!  It was fun!!!!

Ashlee and Jakes Family were in a church "Mormon Messages" for Christmas and it made me cry each time I have watched it.  What a wonderful message and of course they looked wonderful as a family even if it was just a few seconds!

Nathan and I prepared and presented as Christmas lesson on The Love of Christ for the YM/YW Sunday lesson the week before Christmas.  Then it was time to get ready for about 20-25 for Christmas Eve Dinner and Gift Exchange!  We had a great time but were sad that Mom and Dad Nemrow could not make it up for the festivities.

Christmas day after having a great time with Brooke opening presents, Nathan, Brooke and I went to serve Dinner at a Shelter in Pomona.  It was a great experience and we look forward to being able to help out there more this year.  After serving we headed home and got ready to have a fabulous dinner with Ted and Terry Pierce and Blair, Shanna and kids, Travis, Katie and Bristol, Brooke and Donna Pierce.  Did I forget anyone?  Terry's food was exceptional and fun was had by all!

Monday after Christmas Nathan, Brooke and I headed up to Utah to have time with Ashlee, Jake and Family and it was a blast!  Lots of snow, snuggle time and stories with the kids.  Temple Square, Jazz game shopping and game time! New Years Eve and New Years day fun, movies and cookies!  We packed alot into our week and then headed home back to reality!

This year has brought us hard times, good times, growth and learning.  We have appreciated all of our experiences and look forward to those that wait us in 2010!

Merry Christmas 2009

We have enjoyed a wonderful year together as family and friends.  May you the Lord continue to Bless us as we strive to be closer to him and be examples to those around us.  We look forward to the coming year and wish the best to all our friends and family!

Time Moves On!

Well, here it is a week before Christmas and I have not had any time to post the latest around here. At the end of September we went up to Utah and saw our first grandchild Baptized! I cannot believe how fast Karlee has grown! Karlee was baptised in the same dress that I was at eight! This has been a family tradition and she has started the 3rd generation of girls in the family to wear it.

After that I went to Orlando Florida for the AACDT Coton De Tulear Specialty and took my Amorette to Show there. She did fabulous and finished her AACDT Championship there. Here we are showing there!

Next we had a really fun Halloween!  Everyone dressed for the occasion.

Ashlee, Jake and the kids came for Thanksgiving and Brooke came home too!  We had time at the beach,  good food and fun with the family and a Girls day out to see Mary Poppins the Musical!

As you can see we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to Christmas next week!
